Based on the recommendation of a friend who has used sk II products for years and who have tried all top brands, like La Mer, La Pairie, shiseido, etc. I decided to give SK II a try. I've used most of the major brands myself. Didn't like La Mer (too rich, and need to warm up the cream in hand, no visible improvements to skin). I got the Essence, SK II cellumination cream and Signs Eye cream to start with, and did a comparison between these and Shiseido products that I was using daily.My procedure:During the 1st wk.1. wash w/ Shiseido Benefiance cleansing foam (I like this one, it is not overly creamy that you don't feel it is cleaning, and it is nicely foamy w/o being dry)2. apply Benefiance Balancing Softener (I like this toner)3. on my left face and forehead, apply SKII Essence and Cellumination, and Signs Eye Cream around my eye5. on my right face, apply Shiseido Bioperformance Advanced Super Revitalizer and Shisedio Benefiance Concentrated Anti-wrinkle eye cream around my right eyeObservation:- Essence did make my skin touch softer, look smoother. Fine lines became less visible upon very close examination;- Both Cellumination (looks like semi boiled egg white, feels like between gel and cream) and signs eye cream are lighter in texture and more easily absorbed than Shiseido's (I found Shiseido Bioperformance face cream to be the lightest among shiseido line)- After one wk, the skin color/tone of my left face looked visibly better/even/fair comparing to the right face.
